Patient and Public involvment (PPI) previously involved two groups, namely Heart2Heart forum and Stroke Involvement Group. PPI in NWL has now been disbanded. A paper on the effectivenss of the two groups was submitted to the Network Cardiac Steering Group and a decision to disband both groups was given. The Network will, however, continue to contact and use members from the two groups as and when required to participate and give useful help and advice.

The Network is also creating a database of all patient forums and activities available. This will also be distributed to members of the two previus forums, giving them a wider choice of activities available and the opportunity to meet others in their area.
